KK Countdown: 3 Weeks, 21 Days

Yesterday was a magical day for me. Everything flowed beautifully. I completed a homework assignment and submitted it early! I attended the Sunday service at Unity of Fort Myers and was blessed to be a prayer chaplain during and after the service. I ended my day by going to dinner at my friends’ home and we had a beautiful time visiting and sharing, from the heart. I couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Being a prayer chaplain, for me, has been an unexpected blessing that keeps on giving. Praying with others is one of my favorite things to do. It allows me to hold the high watch with people who may feel like they are struggling with an issue or life situation. As we pray together, I have the opportunity to voice the Truth, affirm what is universally true for all, and hold their requests in my heart, which is where the magic happens.

In order to be prepared as a prayer chaplain, I focus on my daily prayer and meditation practice before attending a Sunday service. I don’t have to memorize any words or sayings. I allow Divine Intelligence to give me the right words at the right time for the right people. As I allow myself to open my heart to others, the words come to me in Divine sequence.

As I reflect back on the times when I first became a prayer chaplain, I remember the tremendous amount of fear and responsibility I felt about this new role. I was afraid I would say the wrong thing or leave something out that was crucial to someone’s prayer request. I have since found out that allowing Spirit within to guide me is all I need to do. The rest follows naturally.

I want to simply say “Thank You” to the Universe for bringing me the opportunities to pray with others, whether it’s at church, or on the phone, or in person. I affirm Truth with those requesting prayer and, at the same time, I am affirming this Truth for myself as well. It’s a marvelous arrangement. So, I’ll end with a sample prayer that I use often: “I am whole and complete, I am enough. I am peaceful, because I AM Peace.” And so it is. Amen.

See you all tomorrow!

In Love and Light,
