KK Countdown: FIVE DAYS TO GO!
This is it! I purposely waited until now to write today’s blog because this was my last day at work. I wanted to share some thoughts about the experience…today’s experience as well as the learning process I went through while working at Unity of Fort Myers.
I didn’t accept the position as office administrator in order to further my career as a spiritual leader. I didn’t accept the position in order to speed up the process of becoming a licensed teacher. I accepted the position because I had a strong intuitive urging guiding me to work for and with the minister at that time. That was it. And it was the best choice I have ever made in my life to date.
I attended a Unity service for the first time on December 20, 2009. I began working at Unity of Fort Myers on August 26, 2013. Here I am now, four and a half years later, preparing to move to a new geographical location, seeking a position as a spiritual leader of a Unity church in the New England area. I can’t help but ask myself, “How did this happen?”.
My last day at work was amazing. I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers (thank you, Becca). I had a surprise visit from a dear friend who sang to me (thank you, Jade). And, I was the recipient of hugs and encouragement and support from every angle (thank you Deb, Clive, Barbara, James, Ruthie and so many more!). I will miss my chosen family very much. But I will also take their love, their prayers, and their encouragement with me. I grew up here. My friends at Unity believed in me before I believed in myself. They are the reason I have this opportunity to go back to my family of origin and continue the spiritual work that is mine to do. Thank you Unity of Fort Myers…I will always hold you in my heart.
In Love and Light,
