Meeting New Friends
Today I’m going to meet new people and I couldn’t be more excited. This move is different from the one I made 28 years ago, moving from NYC to FL. It’s different because this time I reached out to people in the area before I moved and it was the best decision I ever made.
Social media is an amazing thing. It can be challenging at times, but in this case, it has been the tool I used to make connections with people in the New England area. I was able to reach out and talk to several beautiful people who are welcoming me with open arms. They held me in their prayers, they held me in their hearts, and they encouraged me throughout the days prior to my three-day drive. Who could ask for more than that?
I feel like I’m settling in nicely and I’m ready to explore. I have about 10 days left for this semester (I’m in ministerial school part-time) so my plan is to work on the many assignments that are coming due between this Sunday and next Sunday. In between, I will be checking out Norwich, CT and parts of MA as well. In fact, I’m going to see my family tomorrow. I’m excited about getting to see them and I’m feeling alive and raring to go! Stay tuned – I’ll keep you all posted.
In Love and Light,
