A Day of Rest
Today is the day I rest and recharge my inner batteries. I’m exhausted! I have two weeks off from school and I’m definitely going to enjoy the respite.
I woke up this morning, ready to tackle the world…again. But I was feeling sluggish. I actually had to remind myself of just how much I have been through in recent weeks. I packed up and released most of my possessions to move 1500 miles up north. I successfully completed another 10-week semester of ministerial school. I completed two final assignments in the process, a 12-page paper for one class and a 20-page research paper for the other class. I met with new friends at a new Unity center. AND, I prepared and delivered a talk and workshop yesterday. No wonder I’m moving a slowly today! Hehe!
This is an amazing time in my life. I’m grateful for every opportunity. AND, I’m also entitled to rest at some point. That’s the concept I forget most often…the resting part. So I’m committed to taking care of me today (and every day). I’m going to relax, rest, read, and breathe deeply. I might even take a nap.
To all of my friends who can relate to this scenario, remember it’s okay to take time to rest. Our bodies benefit from it, our minds benefit from it…we all benefit from it. I’m going to put my feet up and relax now. See you tomorrow!
