Favorite Daily Readings

Many of my friends have a morning routine that includes reading from a devotional book of some kind. I’m not referring to the Bible, although some of my friends use that as well. I’m referring to books or apps on the phone that offer daily reminders with quotes to help get the day off to a positive start.

I use these tools myself and every year I change it up so I’m not reading from the same books all the time. This year I’ve devoted my mornings to reading the “Daily Word” from my phone app (through Silent Unity), In God’s Care (Hazelden publication), and 365 Science of Mind. With these three references under my belt each morning, I have a solid start to every day.

Do you have any favorites that you would like to share with us here? Just enter your suggestions in the comment section below. I’d love to know what you’re using each day and how you use them. For instance, I sometimes use what I read in the mornings to determine my topic for this blog. Other times I;ll post a quote on Facebook to share with my many friends all at once. It’s fun to see what’s going to jump off the pages to get my attention as I read the daily entries.

I hope you’ll share your thoughts here because I think this is part of how we can be reminders to each other. Sharing what works for us can help others who may not otherwise benefit from such suggestions. Let’s work together. I can’t wait to hear what you have to say about this type of routine. And, thanks, as always, for being a part of this blog world. Feel free to share this link with others. I’d love to grow this network by leaps and bounds. Blessings!

In Love and Light,

  1. My usual daily reading is in Daily Word and Science of Mind and also the part of the book that I am currently teaching at Unity of Monroe, Ohio. The class book right now is Practical Metaphysics by Eric Butterworth.
