We are experiencing quite a heat wave in the Northeast this week. The timing could have been better. I’m still carrying boxes, slowly, up three flights of stairs as I continue to move into my new apartment. It’s a great workout but I’m over it now! LOL!
Throughout this process, I’ve gotten to see myself in a new light. I’m much more adaptable than I thought I could ever be. I’m thinking of ways to cool off as much as possible. For instance, yesterday, after I spent most of the day with my friends at Unity of Central Massachusetts, I took myself out to the movies so I could enjoy the air conditioning for the rest of the afternoon. This made it a little easier for me and I was entertained at the same time.
I’m jumping in the shower to cool off every night which helps tremendously. I’m meditating when it feels overwhelming. I’ve got the fans going. And, most importantly, I’m breathing in and out, knowing this is only temporary.
My friends have encouraged me with other suggestions. (An A/C window unit is not an option at this time.) They appreciate my humor too, as I share different stories with them. Everything has turned into a learning experience for me. I’m okay with that. Greater self-knowledge helps me grow and improve as I move through daily life.
Have a wonderful week my friends. Stay tuned for more entries this week. I’m coming back…slowly but surely! Blessings!
In Love and Light,
